Last Sunday⌠so let me share my first-time experience.
I randomly read about this theatre online and got too excited reading all the stories here đ
I took the tickets and went in. The theatre had a considerable crowd. I sat in the second-last row⌠and within a few minutes, I was surrounded by uncles who started scratching my thighs⌠four hands on me, and one even tried to kiss me. I just walked out since I wasnât comfortable.
I stood near the open area where a lot of people were already there. A few more guys tried to hit on me, so I made sure I didnât make eye contact. There was also a group..guess itâs their regular spot..just chatting among themselves.

whom I had actually been noticing before. We spoke, exchanged concerns, and then got into action đ

Sharing my experience on last Saturday (may 16) evening show.
Visited the theatre by 6.30 .. there was a little crowd and some mgr movie was on the screen. Initially I sat in the last 2nd row..no one approached me.. then a young curly haired boy entered and sat in left sided row in middle of the theatre. Why donât we change the spot to an old theatre like Albert Theatre in Egmore? I went there once. Itâs a big theatre, and they even screen old movies sometimes. The restrooms are spacious, thereâs AC, and the overall experience feels worth the ticket cost. It might be a better option for everyone. |

I went today, and yeah, this place is done. The owners have changed, and the new owner is very rude and angry. He was shouting right at the ticket counter, saying people should come only to watch the movie and not for any fun or s*ex inside. He also said no cigarettes or alcohol are allowed. On top of that, he said they've installed hidden CCTV cameras, and if anything happens inside, he'll inform to the police. |

Yes today I went theatre.. ticket counter man confirming each before collecting money â u guys came for movie u can go inside.. if u doing something wrong then watch man will beat u and throw u outâ while hearing this 5 of people refuse to get ticket and came out.. one guy told.. in front of owners . âThis theatre is garbage bull ***.. hear people comming only for fun. If u continue to implement the rules then no will comes to ur theatre.â

Today morning very emotional sequence between uncle groups.. That's not possible at Ganapathi Ram Theatre. They play the latest movies, and families visit the theatre as well. We need to find a much older theatre instead. |
