I'm a trans man, and even with everything I've learned about myself on testosterone, I still believe cheating in a committed relationship is never okay.
When I was living as a woman, love felt all-consuming — mind, body, heart, everything intertwined. I thought that depth was just "how women love." But since starting T, I've noticed a huge shift in my own sexuality: the horniness is constant, intense, and way more casual than it ever was before. Suddenly I understand how some men can separate physical desire from emotional commitment in a way that used to feel alien to me.
That new wiring doesn't make cheating right, though. It just helps me empathize with the impulse. I still have hard boundaries: I won't get involved with married men, period — even if they say it's "discreet." I refuse to be the reason someone else's partner feels betrayed. Open relationships are different, but only if there's clear, verifiable consent from everyone involved.
So yeah, testosterone turned the volume way up on my *** drive, but it didn't change my ethics. Desire and integrity can coexist — you just have to choose integrity every time the urge hits. |

@ThirstResponder... I totally hear you, and this might just be my opinion, but I completely agree with what you’re saying — the increase in desire doesn’t justify crossing boundaries. At the same time, I think it’s important not to mix up desire and integrity as if they’re automatically at odds. Desire is just a feeling; integrity is the choice you make in response to it.
Everyone handles that balance differently. For some people, it is possible to have intense sexual urges, fulfill those desires in ways that are agreed upon, and still genuinely love their partner and keep her happy. What matters is the honesty, the communication, and the mutual consent — not the existence of the desire itself.
So yes, your boundaries are solid, and your ethics stand strong. But the way people navigate desire is individual, and as long as everyone involved in a secret relationship is respected and informed, there’s no contradiction. |
