Yes, it is true that there was a raid yesterday at Hermes Spa yesterday at around 7:45 PM. There were 3-4 people who were recording along with mobiles, professional cameras and even mics. Apart from that there was police involved too.
Although the police wasn't harming anyone but those who were from Tahalka news they were yelling, harrassing and even hitting people who were trying to get out of the spa.
They were forcefully trying to capture faces of people, weren't letting them wear cloths and even trying to push them back along with hyper abusive language.
It has been also reported that many people had to use emergency exits, fire exits, forcefully climb and jump from the terraces risking their lives just in order to get rid of the raid and protect their privacy and identity. Some even tried to push these people and evacuate the spa. No wonder many people might have actually got physical injuries during this hustle and chaos. This incidence has been reported extremely violent and panicking
Sad part is there were many innocent people, first timers who were crying, panicking and even lost their valuables in the haphazard rush. Even after one hour of the raid, there were people reported to be stuck inside, crying, trying to find their clothes/Valuables etc and begging to let them out.
God knows if this case also involved getting people to the police station or not, but yes, police was there.
In the clash even the spa also seen to have witnessed a lot of damage, probably the computer system, classes, crockery and what not.
It is a grave issue, the raid was horrifying, scary and traumatizing. Could have led many damages. and unfortunately there exist extremist and homophobic individuals in our society who have got one single agenda; just to target LGBT community and the places which are friendly for them.
I believe the community should rather meet up and gel up in other formats , probably parties, game sessions, kitties, house parties or may be trips and tracks.... Atleast no one would dare to breach the privacy and peace of the meet up, and no one would have to keep their lives and health on stake.

That's terrible to know. However, nobody from a random news channel just holding a camera in hand has a right to manhandle anyone. LGBT people really need to grow some "balls" and confront these people, if required apply physical force as well. Or Wahan acha khasa croud bhi tha or sabse badi baat decent croud 18 - 35 year ke mostly log the mostly are youngsters. Ye meri life ka second spa visit tha first one kk gya tha wahan to sirf oldies (40 + mostly 50+ ) hi the sonmujhe kuch khas nahi acha laga tha wahan . Han Hermes ka croud kafi acha tha even maine ek 18 year la ladke ko friend bhi bana lia at the end we exchanged our number.
So mere Hisab se koi issues nahi hai mai wahan 2pm se 6pm tak tha . Or logon ka aana laga hi hua tha .

This is abusive and outright illegal. They are just able to overpower us because many are feared to reveal their identity. Guys, know that, there are no regulations against men having *** with men. You are not doing anything wrong. And in contrary these tatti people of tehelka are in the wrong in everyway. We all should not be scared of them. Instead ask them that they can't invade your privacy and if they still do, just snatch their camera and delete the video. THEY CAN'T HARRASS YOU. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DO THAT! How come they are brothels or centres of prostitution? People are going there by consent and availing services. Prostitution is a person paying for sexual favours. While I agree this European concept of people roaming in towels and hooking up (bath house culture) is illegal but that still doesn't give media the right to barge in and invade someone's privacy or manhandle someone. Especially, record someone in compromised position. The owner of such spas are usually not at the counter, it is only their employees who are manning the reception who don't really know how to stop media from entering the premises. I hope we have some lawyers in LGBT community who can drag such media houses to court and teach them a lesson. It is extremely disheartening to read such comments where teens were seen crying, people not being allowed to wear their clothes, people being pushed or being forced to get recorded. If only, a lawyer, who is open about being gay and has visited such places in the past or likes to visit such spas can represent us against such media houses. |

@genuineraho I agree. Recording is one thing, but uploading video without blurring the face is another thing. Not everyone is out of the closet. What if they are unable to handle this embarrassment? The media houses have no right to play with an individual's identity. Such spas are not only visited by gay people but also people who are married who are living a straight life due to their families, people who are just exploring who aren't even sure if they are gay bi or straight. Exposing someone's identity and orientation is just not right. Not just unethical but inhumane. I just hope the people who got recorded don't take an irrational step out of embarrassment, fear or pressure. I also hope these media houses learn what true journalism is, right to privacy is. There are many more issues where they can focus to make our country better. |
