It in a way shows that people visit such places not only for fun but to bond/connect with others. Being a gay person who is not out of the closet can be extremely overwhelming and at such places if u find the right trustworthy person with whom u can talk and express yourself is simply the sole purpose of such places. I am a regular at kk but from the last few months, i have enjoyed sitting in their common areas where people smoke n drink. Interacting with like minded people, sharing experience, discussing problems was really something else. Better than hookup IMHO. And if u really do connect with some, access to steam room and dark room is always available.
