Grindr Dating is so Frustrating in India

According to the posting I read here on ohmojo, it appears to be so easy to get a date on Grindr and some even writes that they get a a date within an hour of searching Grindr.

To me, looking for date on Grindr is so frustrating, it's a big hassle, I spent hours surfing going through their profile and than making a video call to authenticate or validate their Biodata and pictures

posted on Grindr but when they show up at my door, it's not the same person, they look something like the person I spoke to on video call but doesn't appear to be same person.

I hardly find any honest & sincere person, almost everybody lies, cheat & misrepresent themselves on Grindr. I am aware that many use filter to enhance their picture posted on profile and I think

they also use some kind of filter apps even for a video call.

Am I right here? Or Am I wrong? Please Enlighten me.

Every few minutes, they show an ad while sending or replying to message. And the ads all have that very small X icon which is easy to miss when clicking so you often get sent to the app page and you have to close that first. The general quality of user interface is clunky and often, it doesn't update properly until the forceful ad is shown.

Some like you mentioned use photo filters. Some just directly make video call, not even asking if the other guy has privacy or is comfortable.

Those eye contacts, that little curiosity, a little hesitation, a little bit of butterflies in the tummy etc. That whole experience is worth the time and effort. That first look is enough to make you like a person or avoid him. Apps on other hand show you evrything. Not just the face even the base. Also most of the guys turn out way different that their pics. With heavy use of Ai and effects, even a donkey wld look like a stallion. Atleast in physical cruising you get what you see. Also i dont understand people's obsession with cokc pics and *** pics. Otherwise too, ppl on GR wants to know the distance between you and them, to know if meeting in person is feasible or not (if not, why to waste time in doing casual chat). Some people are mainly into NSA and Quickies. In that case they prefer meeting ppl who are in the vicinity. Pl see if your GR profile has settings to show ur distance to others. I generally prefer to know how far the person is from me, besides know his likes and asl and pix.

And almost everyone I met, asked me if I had place or if I was willing to go to their place. Like, come on! There are other things to do other than just meeting and having ***! The most irritating were the uncle type of people, who kept messaging me until I manually blocked them. Some of them were downright rude! I am so thankful I found ohmojo. Its much better than grindr in some aspects
