As we all know that the Mumbai Local train 2 by 2 (2x2) compartment is very famous for all these activities.
It is the gents compartment towards CST side or Churchgate side, next to luggage compartment. The entire compartment has 3 doors. But middle door (also called 2 by 2) is one where action takes place during rush hour. Just stand somewhere and start cruising you will surely get someone over there. It is famous compartment for male to male fun. So whenever you travel in Central Suburbs always catch 2x2 compartment and enjoy touching and fun in the crowd.
01. First rule : travel in super peak density time, bet. 8 to 9 in morning. If the crowd is so dense, no one can even notice what's happening in nether regions.
02. No fear of cops, baits or cheats.
03. During non-peak time when there is smaller crowd, eye contact and other signals (like touching your own crotch) may get you someone who might be like minded.

Seems quieter here nowadays. I can share one of my first experiences in 2x2 before covid. I had lost a little weight so my jeans around my waist were a little loose and it was stretchable material so it was easier to just put a hand or finger inside as compared to maybe someone else who wears jeans.

Good morning guys, I hope everyone Hattie is safe. These are my take on 2x2... it's most stupid cruising location for us.
Reasons
1. 2x2 has grills on both ends so all action or touching is easily seen. Instead 2x1 or 2x3 where atleast one side is covered and less space is a smarter location.
2. 2x2 atleast the Dadar - Borivali route is infested mostly by 50 plus guys and looks boring to see same blank faces waiting to group you. 2x2 should be called vintage gay spot and next smarter gen who are interested to actually talk,chat and meet should ditch.
3. 2X2 has become not a cruising spot but a spot where all guys st8,bi,gays want 2 just see and feel..and quite frankly in 2022 it's boring as it's just crowded for some action.
4. We should popularize 2x1 and 2x3 and spare the idiotic roving eyes of 2x2 which quite Frankly has become boring as the generation of guys getting old and just doing same thing.
I travel from Matunga rd to Andheri, I would prefer to meet smart guys on 2x2 and move to otherwise for fun and friendship than be in 2x2 and be under roving eyes of ugly balding married uncles in 50 and 60s. Ekdum yuck now and BIG Turn off..unless u are ok to be touched cowardly by an aging mumbaikars kaka/mama who has be in closet for most of his life and have nothing else.

First of all if we start floating other compartments there wll only he confusion and we will loose a superb cruising point in mumbai which is 2x2.
Agreed there are all types of people cuming but that will happen in any coach that u want to popularise. But there are also sexybsuperb guys who *** in 2x2. Its also one of an experience to touch feel n have even basic fun in the crowded train.

May I share some of my perspectives?
1. Ageism
One day everyone is going to be in their 50s , 60s ( unless one dies early ) . Balding , greying in part of the process of growing up. Where does that leaves us on men in 50s and 60s and men not in 50s , 60s divide ?
2. Purpose
Without going in to Right or wrong ...2x2 exists because it serves some purpose.
In the era of Gay apps like Grindr actually 2x2 shouldn't exist or be rendered redundant. Why then it still exists ?
It exists because lot of people are not ready to use apps and meet on one to one basis ( laziness )
Also lot of people are undecided about their sexuality. They want pleasure part but they don't want the mental strain that arises from identifying themselves in or other way. 2x2 provided the space and opportunity without hassels and dangers of using apps. Many of these are ' family ' men ( married , having children ). Their phones are not secure. Apps are therefore not an option for them.
Thrill of meeting someone unexpectedly. Anticipation , chase , doing it in public place etc all gives a kind of rush to people. Something that meeting from apps may not give.
2x2 and *** provides more *** education to young and novice then out education system.
There are many such reasons why 2x2 exists. One may debate right or wrongness or appropriateness of these reasons.
It says a lot about us as a culture and state of society. Denied a face and acknowledgement by society , homosexual urge finds itself refuge in recesse of 2x2!
In an Open , Liberal, accommodating civilised society there won't be need for 2x2 . |

Stay in the corridor nearby the door...
make sure your manhood is noticeable...

2x2 cruising looks bleak in the future. Because once all the metro lines are functional within the next 2 to 3 years, the crowds in local trains will thin out. There are also plans to expand the existing local train services considerably.
So thin crowds in trains will make cruising in 2x2 very difficult after about the next 4 years or so.
