Personal experience with places as such going into renovation, it won't be same as what it was before. They usually change everything and put it up as a brand new family place. Happened to a couple of such theatres in Chennai. |

Rajeswari is under renovation, and it's gonna get a new look with new features. Earlier shabby *** movies gonna stop, it's gonna be a family theatre with normal movies, looks like. Upgraded facility, ambience and new ticket rates. New management. If you look at, the next ground beside the theatre is cleared and the entire old shops and huts were removed, it's gonna be huge parking area for movie customers vehicles, good development to this area.
Sadly, the *** scenes are gonna away with new facility. |

Before it closed down i was fortunate to go there twice and experience what goes in there. They are completely renovating with modern facilities. It is quite clear that the management wil not run it the same way after Investing so much money. They made quite a lot of profit just by showing old b grade films. Also there was hardly any maintenance cost. The money ofcourse came from people like us. Now with all that cash it is being turned into a mainstream location where they will expect a family crowd from now on. So it is time for people like us to move on. None of us are welcome there anymore. |
