I noticed that quite a few members here travel to Kolkata for work, stay in hotels for a few days, or visit the city regularly, while others are local residents.

Thought it might be useful to have a thread where visitors and locals can connect, introduce themselves, and coordinate meetups for coffee, conversation, sightseeing, hanging out, or simply getting to know like-minded people.

I'm based in Hyderabad and visit Kolkata regularly for work, usually staying around Newtown. It would be great to connect with genuine, friendly people before a trip rather than trying to arrange everything at the last minute.
