Grindr has become so irritating with Ads and Pay Wall
Grindr has become so irritating.. So many Ads, Pay to unlock, to ad album... and the app keeps hanging due to the Ads loading... Besides Romeo are there any similar alternatives folks use?

I tried several apps but none of them are close to Grindr. I feel Walla(Blued) is made to show only ads. |

the earlier Grindr version was so good.. more profiles to go through... now outside of the 20 odd unlocked, everyone else is behind a pay wall.. |

Warning on Dating App Use: Engineer Attacked and Blackmailed After Meeting Man Through Grindr
Bengaluru: Police have warned people to be careful while using dating apps after an engineer was attacked and blackmailed in Bengaluru.
The incident happened under the Yelahanka Police Station limits. The victim had been using the Grindr dating app for the past one-and-a-half years. Grindr is mainly used by gay and LGBTQ+ people to connect with others.
Recently, the engineer became friends with a young man through the app, and they exchanged phone numbers. The man later asked him to meet near Palanahalli Gate on May 1.
When the engineer reached the spot, four men allegedly forced him into a car and threatened him. They warned that they would tell others about his sexual orientation and demanded his mobile phone password and UPI details.
Police said the men stabbed him in the thigh and injured him in several places after he refused to share the password. They then took his phone and transferred ₹16,000 through UPI.
After the attack, the accused left the injured man in an isolated area and escaped. The victim later called his friend and was admitted to a hospital.
Yelahanka Police registered a case and started an investigation. Two accused, identified as Darshan and Rajesh, have been arrested. Two minors involved in the case have been sent to a juvenile home.
Police also said the gang may have cheated and robbed more than eight people in a similar way using the same app. A knife, four mobile phones, and a bike have been seized from the accused.
Further investigation is going on. |

@Blrfun2017 - one of my friend , may be 8yrs back also sent through similar experience but no police involved. He was picked in a car and on the way 3 more guys got into car. They hit him, smashed his face, tried to do forceful *** and also looted him.
Luckily no stabbing n such things
It's always good to check their social handlings such as Instagram, Facebook before meeting so that we will know their circle and personalities...
And yeah I too experienced something similar not through Grindr but cruising place
There was a guy who always used to sigh me to get into bushes while I pass or cross the railway track in 2015 (it was also known for cruising and so I wantedly go via that route to get lucky)..
One day I decided to go with him and another person tried to warn me saying he have big knife and I step back..
After few days he ( boy around 17 or 18yrs old) again appeared and asked me to get into bush
And I'm not sure what made me to follow him and I went inside Bush and he started to touch my *** while I was trying to act like peeing..
And he asked me to follow him to the other side of compound within the bushes and I did. And now I started to adjust my bag and hiding phone n etc..
While walking I started to introduce myself as I know lot of baddies in the surrounding blah blah blah and I noticed he was on drugs too...
After reaching the spot he started to *** mine and bent over to get ***..
But throughout the act he was holding his pants on shirt together with one hand to hide his weapon...
After I ***, he hold me and my wait is over... He did same thing what I was expecting
He shown his weapon and tried to loot me... Since I already prepared myself to run, I started countering him with my words to make sure as if I'm a rowdie 😄..
And finally I gave one strong push for which he hit the ground as he was on drugs and I ran
From that movement, whenever he sees me he used say "Namaskara Anna" and goes away... (Note: I'm very soft natured guy and not into fight stuff, but I know how to handle things) |
