I have gone through some threads and found that it has been persistent issue of threat, fraud and blackmail in our community.
I am just creating this thread to request fellow users of Ahmedabad to share their incidents or places which was a bad experience for them.
Let's share and aware each other so that we create safe environment.

Location: Vastrapur, nearby Himalaya Mall.
Date: 07/11/25 Time: 6.30 PM
Incident: One guy came to meet through grindr for meet up, I decide to meet outside of my hotel. Then realize that guy is not real one. So, I ignored him.(without VC planned to meet)
Later, he started following me and realize he is not alone 4 more peoples are with him. I tried to find out a place where family peoples/more peoples are there. So, I brought a cig. and started smoking at that place to overcome the situation. Then noticed they started blocked me. like 7 peoples arrives and local other peoples left the place and also the shopkeeper.
Said pay my charge I'll left. Then I asked what is your charge. Said: 5K
told him: I dont have such amount and started forcing me to show A/C balance.
They got I have only 4.5K in my A/C. They asked 3K and started checking other bank account. Did not get anything in GPay, then check my Phonepe(CC account) and asked to pay again 2K. I said not possible as CC account, I can pay any personal scanner. Then they started asking to ask for CASH from local shop and Pay 2K. Luckily I got a phone call from one of my from from Ahmedabad itself and I asked him to stay over phone call with me until I reached up to Hotel room. Then reach safely up to hotel.
As I'm new in city, I dont know Gujrati that made easy for them to trap me. Also, I dont want any scene create as per my reputation and my company reputation.
They all was looking like goon and professional sacmmers.
All was using Grindr on their mobile. Its not a single person account block will not work. Better to avoid the crowd of Vastrapur itself.
Thanks to GOD, I'm able to safe my CC balance and own laptop as well as companies Laptop. |

Date: 25/24th Dec 2023
Location: Alpha One Mall (In the parking of building which is next to mall)
Same story:
Found a guy with nice *** on GR, different guy came, they forced me to transfer money from Bank (Had 2kish) then saw my CC linked to UPI, I delicned, they put me on bike, thretened to chop off my tool, took to petrol pump, got scanner for 10K on UPI CC, got cash from pump guy, took me to Reliance Centro, did shopping of 14K and then gave me 100 rs to go back to my room.
Scary AF as I had recently shifted to ahmedabad.
Lessons learnt hard. Stopped visiting strangers, didn't lodged compliant as I wanted no mess at my PG. |

I had a frightening experience at Gota near Centre Point, close to Vandemataram. I had ridden there on my bike and was waiting in a corner while opening the grinder. Suddenly a man approached and said, “Let’s go.” When I asked where, he replied, “To my flat.” I asked which flat; he gave a random name. I offered to follow him on my bike, but he insisted his car was parked in the basement and said we should go together.
While we were talking, we reached the basement stairs and he suddenly demanded a payment. I asked what payment he meant and then noticed two more men behind me. They tried to pull me toward the basement. I resisted, pushed them off, and shouted that I would scream louder if they did anything. Another man tried to grab me and slapped at me; I pushed him away and ran toward a public area, but he chased me.
I found a stone nearby and warned him to go back or I would throw it. He kept coming, so I threw the stone. He fell, and the stone went to the other side — luckily, no one was injured. I ran away quickly; the men then disappeared. I was terrified and spent another half hour walking around the complex to make sure they weren’t going to take my bike.
Suggestion: Immediately start shouting loudly and confidently in situations like this. Run as fast as you can when you feel trapped. Stay alert and cautious in places where such incidents could happen.

I was at garden behind isckon mall looking for some tops. I couldn't find anyone in the washroom. I was online on Grindr, I started getting pings from a profile that was 100 meters away. He asked for a pic first to which I denied, i said if you want to meet then come and meet. So I told him to come to the parking near Washroom and suddenly I saw 2-3 uncles types men rushing towards me and started searching for me. One guy looked at me and I said what in a strong tone. He just left off. And others too.
I know that guy was sitting with someone else as well because I always survey my cruising spots before I go. Always look for decent people to meet. And you're not doing anything wrong so be confident and deal with these bastards |

One thing to note: if a guy sends you a good-looking picture but hasn’t added it to his album, that’s the first and biggest sign of fakeness. Be careful of such guys who send handsome pictures without adding them to their albums. Still, if you decide to take the risk, ask for his Telegram ID and contact him there.

Maninagar washroom highest number of scams happening there are different groups they always loot even its a big market with people they chase and threaten people even in evening time pls pls dont go there at any time. |
