There was a time when I struggled deeply with myself. My sexuality felt like something I had to hide, something that made me “different.” I carried guilt, fear, and the constant worry of not being accepted. On the outside I smiled, but inside I was restless.
It was through the Art of Living that I discovered meditation — not just as a technique, but as a way of living. Sitting in silence, guided by the breath, I slowly began peeling away the layers of doubt and self-judgment. In those moments of deep stillness, I touched a part of myself that was beyond labels, beyond fear — a space that was pure and whole.
That experience changed me. With every session, I found more strength to accept myself. I realized I didn’t have to fight who I was — I only had to love who I was. That inner acceptance gave me the courage to come out, first to myself, and then to the world.
Today, I feel blessed to not only practice but also teach meditation through the Art of Living. I’ve witnessed how it helps people manage day-to-day stress, detox their minds, and find peace amidst chaos. And every time I guide someone, I’m reminded of my own journey — from fear to freedom, from self-doubt to self-love.
Meditation didn’t change my identity. It gave me the strength to embrace it fully, joyfully, and unapologetically. |
