Beware of Gay scams in Madurai

Submitted by Ajithraj143 Location: Madurai (Tamil Nadu, India)

Hi guys, I'm posting this to make you aware of gay scammers in Madurai. A month ago, I was in Madurai for a personal thing, stayed at a hotel near the railway station. As my purpose of visiting Madurai was done and had to wait till the late night for my return train, I browsed in grindr and talk to some guys around. 1 guy seemed to be genuine and was totally a clean village type guy. He had pics standing in front of fishing boat and some full naked ones. We agreed to meet and he came to my hotel room. Soon after this guy came he gave me a condom and asked to wear it, and did *** my *** after I wore the condom. Within 2 minutes he said he is satisfied and went to freshen up. I thought he might not be interested, so I said okay. After that he came out of the toilet, asked me to give his money. I told him he never mentioned anything about the money. He started shouting loud, said he is a professional callboy, and he needs the money or else he will walk out to the office naked and make a scene. I was scared and I tried to talk to him but he didn't listen and continued his bad slurs. I eventually took out my purse and he grabbed my purse and took 4600 rupees I had. I told him to return the money but he just got dressed quickly and went out. I was in shock for atleast couple days. So guys if you're cruising in Madurai, be careful about guys like this.I tried to go back to grindr for his picture but he blocked me right after that. Please remeber not to carry a lot of money with you. Make sure to save a picture of the guy who you are meeting. Be safe out there guys.

This bitter incident happened last year 2024. Through grindr, I met one person. So typically he is a gym guy and doing local work and native of madurai. Since, he is exactly my type, I started to fall for him. I somehow planned to connect with him for a longer term. But my fate and time had a different plans. We agreed to meet near townhall road. We met and he took me to his friend's place near meenakshi temple. We went upstairs and there was a room. We made out. Not a exact fun, but just a romantic escapade. Suddenly I got a call from family extremely unavoidable. I asked him to leave me. Then he started to show his true colors. He told he set a trap for me. He narrated the following. He and his gym going friend targets the bottom guys on grindr and loot money from them for their bodybuilding. I was shocked completely. Idk how to escape. And he started to beat and slap me, he grabbed mobile from me and asked me to open phonepe and he ttransferred money around 2k to his account. Luckily I didn't have more amount in my account. He told he will buy protein powder for him. I started to cry. Around five mins, he started to explain how he set a trap for me. My ego was completely hurt. Decided to take a leason for this bastard. In a fraction of time, I put on my clothes and started to leave. He himself asked me to leave coz, I don't have money. I grabbed his bike key and ran away to the main road near that police station. He was following me and both were clueless and again he grabbed me to the congested street and beat me. This time, I got a upper hand. And started blackmailed him, I could lodge a cyber complaint against him since i was working with govt sector, I told him that I knew police from dept and I will make his life miserable. I thrashed him against the wall and asked him to give my money back. He had rupees in hand. So I grabbed it instead of online transaction. Since, he should not repeat this nonsense to any other guys, I didn't spare him. I just threw his bike keys far away and I started running towards police station near by.... He was clueless and didn't make any complaint. I just wanted to instill a fear in him and I think I was Succeeded at it...

This is just few guys who keep repeating this I posted his image on grindr and realised he has been cheating a lot of people he even goes to home and after few mins he'll demand money. I fought with him but still could have gone differently. I didn't have his pic now so maybe if I get it I'll post so you guys can be safe

It's very scary when this happens but if this happens again to me I will sure call the police. I even tried to call the police emergency number but unfortunately it wasn't going through. I will make sure to save the needed police phone numbers next time when I travel to other places. Scammers like these should be punished.

This year in August, I had a flight @ 9:00 am from Madurai to Colombo. Since my house is almost 80km from the airport & I might not got to the airport on time I decided to leave a day before & stay in a hotel ( also thought to taste Madurai guys, hehe ).At night I was in the hotel room after dinner & decided to Open Grindr & check who is nearby since it was just 8:00 pm. My profile clearly mentions NO to any kind of money ***, this guy ( age around 25-27 ) who was just 500 metres away messaged me, I read the profile & it'd not mentioned anything about money, just said need a good top. We had a chat, I asked him to read my profile twice because I wanted to make sure he understands what I am looking for. After he confirmed that he had read it & willing to meet, I invited him to my hotel room. In 10 minutes he was there. He removed his clothes & took off my lower down & started *** straight away. In few minutes, he came (cummed)! I was like it's okay but he wanted to wash & leave for which I agreed. When he came out of the washroom, he started doing something on his phone, I was in doubt like what & why taking him long to leave since he already decided to? Then comes this strange part, I stood out of the bed & went close to him just to make a peep & this m*t**rf**k*r started asking money telling me that I agreed to pay him which is clearly mentioned inside his profile & so he was here. Also I *** (***) him & now not giving his money. I quickly reached to my mobile to check his profile descriptions again & damn! Everything in his profile has been changed to as, "Moneyboy" ..... wtf! But I am not an easy guy to give up, I normally screenshot the conversations we had where I clearly mentioned that I am not into any kind of money *** & he agreed to do it for free twice & never mentioned that he is a money boy! ( because I know this is happening a lot nowadays). He still insisted & said he will create a scene in the hotel & call police, for which I gave him a tight slap (not knowing what will happen next) & told him I am a COP myself, do the f*ck whatever he wants to. I literally threw him by snatching his arm out of the hotel room. He still was in the middle of wearing his shirt. For a moment I was nervous because next morning I had a flight but somehow he did not create any scene & left ( maybe afraid knowing I have all the screenshots as proof ). About after 10 minutes I opened the room door & checked from the balcony if he is still around downstairs but he was not. I blocked him at once. That was my first time ever face this kind of situation.

I was jobless and under a lot of financial stress. After failing an interview, I went gr just to relax and talk casually. During a conversation, I mentioned that I had no job and no placement. One person voluntarily told me he was an HR and said he could help me get a job. Because of my situation, I trusted him.
He spoke very professionally, promised opportunities, and slowly gained my confidence. But instead of helping me, he used me for his s*x satisfaction. After that, he disappeared for a few days. A week later, he contacted me again and asked to meet, again talking about job opportunities and making big promises. I believed him again, thinking it was finally job-related.
Later, I noticed inconsistencies. He claimed he worked in a reputed company but said the company had a leave that day—which I knew was not true. That raised my suspicion. I checked further and found that he was actually working in a different company, in a very junior role. I also realized his friend was involved, pretending to be a hiring manager. Everything was staged. There was never a job—only fake promises.
I’m sharing this not for sympathy or lectures. I already know where I went wrong it's not a platform to search job. But when you’re struggling, unemployed, and financially pressured, it’s easy to trust someone who sounds confident and professional. Many job seekers are in this position today. Please be careful—there are people who take advantage of desperation and trust.

And please don't give fake believe and break it,you don't know our financial and personal life situations, this kind of things will create big taruma...I tried to post it as separate thread but admi didn't approve,I hope he won't delete this one
