Have been to Central theatre twice during my visit. Once each 2.30 & 6.30 shows. Took the Balcony seat..of Rs.26
The theatre is in a bad state, but then who s there enjoy the luxury of the theatre..

I had heard about Central theatre and seen a lot of posts in Orkut a long time ago. This was the first time. It's exactly opposite lane to Ganesh temple in Trivandrum.
I have been there nearly three time. Fun do happen but mostly elders like 40+ will be there. Hardly any teens can be seen. Never been on weekends.

I visited central theater last week on Saturday. Now I rue that I did not visit this theater before. I went for the 8:30 PM show. Let me remind you that this was my first visit to an adults theater. The inside of the theater is a squalor though it may be a quibble if I talk about it. I took a seat in the back row. The movie started by 8:40 PM. It was named some "what rhymes with " of 'robotrix' . The movie was good, though the histrionic performance of the leads vitiated it a bit. Lol, I was kidding. Most of the guys did not even care what is being shown on the screen.
There was a guy who came a sat next to me.He looked 35+. I tried to be not proactive since I was still in a flux. I looked around , but did not see any encounters for bout 10-15 mins.

I went there on 3rd of June, similar to rajeshwari theatre in Bangalore, but there is no loo inside the theatre, and not enough chairs to sit , and guys will be going to loo which is outside the theatre, I just gave an handshake to an uncle, he was try to talk with me which I didn't understand. overhaul we expect much. |

I understand how gay/queer people need their spaces to explore. My experience as a foreigner in this theater was really shocking to say the least. I love to meet all kinds of people and so I went to a few shows when I was in TVM. What I witnessed was horrifying. Both times I saw older uncles assault younger people being forceful. In one instance a young man clearly nervous sat beside me and I could almost hear his heart beating. I remember the courage it took for me to go to a gay place when I was young so I could sympathize. 2 older uncles basically assaulted him despite him pushing their hands away, saying no, pushing their bodies away, etc. I finally said to them to leave him alone. I was not interested in being nice anymore. The young man ran out the front door...clearly traumatized. LISTEN CAREFULLY....NO MEANS NO. If you continue after someone says "NO" it is sexual assault. Get some class and some manners ffs. |
