Let me tell you my own experience...
It was way back in 2015.. There is a loo on borivali platform no. 6A (now numbering has changed.. 1st platform from eastern side) I went there morning around 6am... First lets understand legal perspective. Section 377 was related to prohibiting consensual gay ***. It has gone for good but that means consensual gay *** is not illegal.
The second part is cruising in public place. Now as @busboys stated that police targets gay more than straight more is only because of easy trap. You are not going to see a straight man going in woman washroom and cruising or vice versa. You will not see a woman getting into man rail compartment and start touching *** of straight man. At the most we will see straight couples at secluded place in beach an garden and they also do police ire. The only point is in such case there is no social stigma attached and hence informing family etc. is out of picture.
So the bottom line is
1. Section 377 abolishment do not give gays right to cruise anywhere. It only allows you to have consensual gay *** and you can do it in close door. No police can arrest you. However, if you do such things in public place, its creating public nuisance and hence you are subjected to different legal action
2. Gay community is vulnerable compared to straight couple and that means we need to be all the more careful before getting into action in public place

Just keep walking past the last booking office and you'll find this in the corner.
