Sexual Health & Wellness
For years, this has been a point of discussion on various online forums. We live in a country that recognizes the GAY community, but due to social upbringing/stigma and ultra orthodox society, we are sometimes unable to express ourselves freely. Our government has recognized and taken various initiates for the LGBTQ+ community and have made available the resources that would benefit our community. Due to lack of accessibility, information and social stigma, many amongst us don’t have access to these resources that are made available by the government itself. How can anything else be important for us, besides our own sexual health. That’s why I thought of sharing my own personal experience with our community here. This thread is created to share your experiences with medical professionals, and medical advisors can advise but it will be up to the user to make a final decision. Moreover, this thread is created only for educational purposes and I highly recommend seeking medical attention at your family/ primary health care provider, as they know your health history well. Hello folks,
Always use CONDOMS no matter what, especially if you are having an encounter with a stranger or someone whom you haven’t met before.
TESTING: It really doesn’t matter if you have *** once a day OR once a week OR month or even a year, if that ONE person is having an infection then chances are high that they could spread it through *** or bareback. It takes almost 6 months to detect HIV, so be careful with whom you are involved within the last six months. For example, If by any chance you get tested Positive for HIV on Aug 1, It means probably someone who had unprotected *** with you between Jan 15 to July 15-16 (approx.) have an active HIV infection. So don’t be under the influence that you will visit the lab today and get tested negative, and mark yourself SAFE. No, that's not how it works. You will be marked safe for the time before Jan 15 if you are tested negative on Aug 1. Doctors recommend waiting for at least 14 days after you have unprotected *** to get testing done, because it is a minimum time required to detect an active HIV infection in your body cells. But this does not mean that after 14 days of unprotected ***, you get tested negative and mark yourself as Safe. It takes anywhere between 14 days to 180 days to detect HIV infection in the body cells. Ideally, it is recommended to get tested for Hiv and basic STDs for every three months and complete panel testing after 6 months. The complete panel testing includes 4-5 tests for 14+ STDs.
PRECAUTION: PlEASE…PLEASE…PLEASE practice and encourage safe ***. Always use condoms no matter what. You can also start taking Prep. Prep is a tablet used only to protect you from HIV infection. Prevention is always better than cure. I have personally been taking Prep for the last 4 years and so far my kidney and liver are functioning properly. I haven’t experienced any side effects in 4 years. Please take Prep regularly even if you are using condoms, it acts like an EXTRA layer of protection. No, taking Prep doesn’t cause any harm if you follow a healthy lifestyle. Avoid eating oily and spicy food, exercise regularly, eat fruits and vegetables, high protein meat and always stay dehydrated. MEDICATION: If god forbid or by any chance if you or someone you know gets tested positive, just ask them to contact the Humsafar trust at Vakola. They will take care of your situation very well and they do not reveal their patient identity or contact to any third party. Your information is completely safe with them. For those tested positive, the medication for them is PEP and not Prep. Mind you, many guys have misconception that HIV positive patients take Prep. But in reality, they don’t. No Prep is not for positive patients. Prep is for those who have tested negative and it's a precautionary medication against HIV infection.
DoxyPrep: DoxyPreP reduces your chance of getting syphilis and chlamydia (these are one of the STIs in the panel testing) by about two-thirds, if you are a man who has *** with men. This is a new *** and isn’t available readily much in India, but I am sure some healthcare professionals would create awareness for this through various social programs and NGOs. Again, Doxy Prep can be taken with general Prep (Truvada), this will together reduce the chances of HIV, syphilis and chlamydia and to some extent gonorrhea too.
My personal experience with the Humsafar Trust has been pleasing and smooth. Throughout these years, I never had any issues with any person in the Trust. They handle your case very safely without exposing your identity and will guide you very well. I was very hesitant at first, but after 2-3 visits I gained confidence and they made me feel like a home. I personally have been taking Prep for the last 4 years, practicing safe *** with a partner using a condom, getting tested regularly every 3 months and doing complete panel testing every 6 months. NEVER faced any issue until date.
Please Note: this is not for publicity or for marketing purposes. You are an adult and know what is good for you. Nothing is more important than your health at the end of the day. You can go to any other clinics but I just shared my personal experience with you and nothing else. After reading this post, maybe someone who is scared or afraid of social stigma, could finally wake up and take a call to safeguard their life.
I wish everyone good health. |

@thenerdz Completely agreed with everything you said here. Most of them dont care about safety. They only care about their pleasure. Most of the bottoms are at risk because of this. *** *** and oral both should be with condom. Oral without condom only if the person is healthy and disease free, but mostly in cruising we wont know if they are disease free and we can get infected. I have been visiting Humsafar Trust for the past 6 years myself, and they are just amazing! They are doing so much for the community. I had a similar experience with them, they make you feel comfortable and thr atmosphere is very positive and friendly. |

Can anyone guide how to have pain free back entry? |
| No Picture thenerdz | Posted On Aug 16, 2024
@arjun503...You can use Lox 2%gel ointment for the affected area. Apply it 10 mins before you get started, it takes some time to numb the area. After the foreplay, you can try good lubricant like KY jelly for a smooth experience. Remember always prefer safe and get regular tested. |

I understand that the risk from unprotected oral *** to the receiver for HIV is negligible. In fact there are no documented cases of someone getting HIV only from this.
The risk for other STDs is there.
Am I correct?
Of course I am not saying that the ideal thing is to use a condom while receiving or giving oral. |

@Jaydes... I think you are partially correct. But again how do you know that person is tested negative or positive for HIV. If a positive person does have an oral *** with negative person, there could possibly be a chance that the virus could be transmitted orally, if they don't use dental clamps. |
| No Picture Jaydes | Posted On Aug 17, 2024
But in this case the recipient is at lower risk than the giver bcoz of hiv in semen |
| No Picture Jaydes | Posted On Aug 17, 2024
I also understand that there is a negligible risk in hiv transmission through DFK as saliva kills the virus
Is this correct? |

Guys oral *** does lead to stds. There are a host of stds. Which do pass with orals. Always use condoms for orals also. Use ultra thin ones from durex. U just don’t feel the condom. But pls use. Also pls do take vaccines for Hep B, HPV. Both these are easily available at all local docs. |
