There is something special about sitting on the back of a bike, especially when the seat is a little higher. You are not in control. You are just trusting him and going along for the ride.
I imagine we are on a bike like the Yamaha R15 V4 or KTM RC 390 or TVS Apache RR 310 or Bajaj Pulsar RS200 or Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The kind where the back seat is slightly raised, so when I sit behind him, I feel close to him and a little lifted too.
I wear girls clothes, something soft and comfortable that feels right for me. The wind touches me as we ride, and for once, I feel free to just be myself.
Like any girlfriend riding with her boyfriend, I sit behind him and hold on. When the bike goes faster, I lean forward and wrap my arms around him. It is not just for balance. It just feels natural to be that close.
In that moment, everything feels simple. I do not have to explain who I am or how I feel. I can just stay there, close to him, feeling safe and calm.
For other people, it may be just a normal ride.
But for me, it is more than that. It is one of those small moments where I feel completely myself, and that makes it special. |
