Hosting Travellers in your house

Submitted by HeadsTailsAndHo Location: Indore (Madhya Pradesh, India)

Hello Guys

Often we visit a city for few hours or pass by a city and need to take a halt (to rest) in the night.

That moment, we often feel if we could get a like minded friend to trust and stay at his place for few hours...

Do you think, you can host people for few hours at your home?

Pl share your honest opinion.

Hello Guys,

I am passing by Indore, in my own vehicle...

I am coming from pune and will go to Delhi side.

Do you think, you can host me for 1 night?
I just need a place to sleep on Dec 3rd night or 4th night or 5th night.

If you want I can share my ID proofs to you, like Adhaar, PAN, RC of Vehicle..

Or if you know anyone, who stays alone in Indore and can host me, pl let me know.

Before COVID-19 happened and I had a 2bhk house in North Goa, I actively hosted foreign travelers. I do admit that the intention was to hook up, but then I became good friends with most of them. Yes, *** did happen on many occasions and I loved every bit of it.

It's time that we all strengthen the local gay communities in our respective locations and start hosting our fellow gay people. Sexual pleasure shall be the by-product but helping each other and knowing how things are with them is essentially what we all need.

People who want to share accommodation with tourists can list on couchsurfing app. Chat with the tourists who send requests and see if you'd like to host them.
In my profile I have put a rainbow emoticon to give sufficient hints that I belong to the community.

No, COUCHSURFING is just a waste of time.
Useless App in terms of India. Many a times I have posted my requirement needing a place to crash in.
And people don't help, even for few hours. A very plain excuse is, sorry I am out of town... I wonder if really whole bunch of CS guys of that city, shown active in last few hours to few days, are out of town all together?? And this happens everytime I requested.
Many of my friends, who were hosting people earlier, have deleted the app from their phones.
It can't be one way game...

Couchsurfing is now dead. It started sinking some years ago when it became "for profit", and when they launched an advertisement program that brought a large number of (ab)users who only wanted to use CS to be hosted on their vacation without having to reciprocate. But the last straw was last march when the CS management blocked many profiled from "rich countries" to racket them for funding the deficit. A lot of people, including me, then took down their profile in spite of being there for years (more than a decade for me).....
It was an opportunity to develop other similar websites which had been more or less active, due to the quasi-monopoly of CS : the best of them, in my opinion is BeWelcome. It's free and the concept is like the original CS....

Couchsurfing is totally active and yes I use the app.
Usually I get straight hosts / co-travelars on it. So yes it's good for traveling use(If you are lucky than you can get fun partners too)
