Only places where you can dress up and be comfortable as a Crossie are at the LGBTQ parties occasionally held at resorts in Kalamb Beach Nalasopara (Mini Goa), Bhoj Resort (Badlapur) and various other venues in and around Karjat and Panvel. The entry charges is quite reasonable... around 1000 for a full night (starting at 7pm) with food and common dormitory style accommodation, DJ music, sometimes access to swimming pools. Best part is you can carry your along your own drinks from outside. For extra charges you can get private rooms for your own group or friends.
Yes, these resorts are quite remotely located with no proper mobile network sometimes. Especially the Central Side ones. Also, you are travelling that side during peak hours in the crowded trains which becomes unbearable. Sometimes from the station it could be another 30-45 mins by auto. But if you have a group of your own and take the trouble of getting that far then you can be assured of a blast of a time. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU WILL GET YOUR CHANCE TO BE DRESSED UP AS A WOMAN WITH NO CARES FOR A FULL NIGHT.
The city side parties at posh Pubs and Lounges like Kittty Su etc. held by Nasty Boys, Gaybombay also allow CDs but these are expensive. Just the entry charges could be 500. A drink or other food items inside starts at 500. You just sit there and/or dance to DJ music, that is all. No dark rooms or privacy for fun. |
