Straight world assumptions !

Have you had interesting experiences in a environment/culture designed for the hetero men ? Two of mine come to mind...

One of my G friends and I went to watch a movie in Bengaluru. Within minutes of us setting down in our allocated seats, a young hetero couple walked into our row. They walked past my friend and I and the girl turned around to checked the seat number. She realised their seats were the ones adjascent to mine. She was the one standing next to me and her boyfriend/friend was slightly away. Rather than taking the seat next to me, she asked her boyfriend to move closer to take the seat immediately next to me. She took the one after that. My friend would give me a smirk from time to time. When the couple took a break during the intermission, my friend started teasing me on how the naive girl had made a dangerous move by letting her handsome bf/friend sit next to me and how completely safe she would have been, had she been the one instead. We have a hearty laugh whenever we speak of this incident.. Any similar experiences ?

Let me tell you another incident. I once decided to get my reproductive heath checked whilst living Overseas. On the day of the appointment, I reached the hospital, completed the necessary paper work and a o nurse handed me a jar (similar to the one given for urine test) and pointed me in the direction of a room. I was asked to lock myself in the room and get a sample of my semen and leave it in the room for them to collect (and test). It was a small room with a reclining chair and a coffee table. I locked myself in and found half a dozen magazines on the coffee table. To my disappointment, all of them were straight ***.

I was laughing in my head. Even in the advanced western world, they assume men who come for reproductive tests are straight ! What if a gay man wants to get his reproductive health checks done ?
