Hi guys today i have osm experience in bus. Today from bangalore to mysore i booked bus that got canceled later i booked another bus upper seat but last second seat already one guy booked another seat i booked.
When im boarding in that he already sleeping when i enter he gave pillow and slept. It was November when I was travelling from Goa to Bangalore by overnight bus. When I booked the ticket, all the single sleeper beds were already taken. The only option left was a double bed, so I had to book that and share with whoever the other passenger would be.
At the time I didn’t think much about it. I just needed to reach Bangalore the next morning.
When I boarded the bus, my bed was empty. I climbed up, kept my bag near the wall, and pulled the curtain a bit. Since I got in first, I had the whole space for a while.
The bed was small but manageable for two people. Still, the idea of sharing such a tiny space with a stranger felt a little awkward.
I was in my loose pajamas and lay down facing the wall, pretending to sleep.
After a few stops the bus halted again. I heard movement in the aisle and then the curtain beside the bed moved. Someone climbed in.
I opened my eyes just a little to see who it was.
And honestly… I wasn’t expecting that.
He looked around 26 or 27. Lean body but strong arms with noticeable biceps. His beard was neatly trimmed and his hair was styled nicely. Even in the dim light inside the bus I could see he had really fair skin and a clean look.
For a second I just stared.
Then I quickly closed my eyes again so he’d think I was already asleep.
He got comfortable slowly, probably trying not to disturb me. The bed shifted slightly as he settled down. Now the space suddenly felt much smaller.
The bus started moving again, and the engine’s steady sound filled the silence.
Because the bed was narrow, every turn or bump in the road made us shift slightly closer. Sometimes our shoulders would lightly touch and then move apart again.
I kept pretending to sleep.
But I was definitely awake.
I could feel the warmth from his body beside me. I could hear his breathing slowly becoming calmer as he started drifting into sleep.
Every now and then when the bus passed a brighter area, a bit of light came through the curtain. In those moments I could see him more clearly if I opened my eyes just slightly.
He looked completely relaxed.
Somewhere around midnight the bus hit a rough patch of road. The movement made him shift in his sleep. His body rolled a little toward my side and his shoulder ended up resting against mine.
I stayed completely still.
He didn’t move away.
His breathing stayed slow, like he was deeply asleep.
And there I was, lying there awake, aware of how close we were in that small space. It felt strange but also oddly nice at the same time.
Outside the window the highway lights kept passing by while the bus moved through the night.
Inside that small bus bed, everything felt quiet.
We didn’t know each other. We didn’t say a single word the whole night.
But somehow that silent journey — sharing such a tiny space with a stranger — stayed in my mind long after the trip was over. |

For Bangalore-Hyderabad route, it maybe better if we try to plan some specific bus operators to maximize chances. There are do many buses that chances of meeting or having fun are spread too thin. Of course we will have to book based our time, availability, price etc. but if we can agree on 3-4 operators as preferred operators, chances will be better. I try to usually book - Rajesh Transport, Intercity travels. Thoughts. |

My journey started from blore to Coimbatore. No much expectation as it was Saturday and less crowd. I boarded and occupied upper double berth which was empty wen I boarded. I occupied towards window side and pulled my curtain. Then loosened track as it was hot due to walk. Usually I don't wear inner while traveling as it Will be comfortable in all ways. Traveled from Chennai to Bangalore on Sunday afternoon bus. Last upper. I booked last minute, so did my neighbor!!!

My last experience was on a bus from Venkatagiri to Bangalore. The bus started at 10:30 pm.
At Venkatagiri, the person sitting next to me was watching the T20 final match on his phone. India won the match. After the bus reached Tirupati, he closed his phone and started sleeping.

So yesterday Bangalore to Vizag travel... Started with a casual talk with my bedmate in bus... He is young vizag guy... Around 26-28 age may be... Bit talkative and friendly... Hi all after a very long time and first incident happened in the bus.. while I'm traveling from Bangalore to Chennai.
