I think we can use this thread and platform for ones who want to Travel solo to any destination so that someone who's living there or someone who's been there can help and guide with things

I guess this'll be really helpful than chaotic process of trying to find everything online and plan

No Picture Pixie	Posted On Jan 6, 2026 This happened to me long time ago, in Amsterdam I was robbed & duped by my traveling partner or traveling companion. I was young in my twenties, I didn't have much money since I was still a student working on my Bachelors Degree in Computer science hence I traveled frugally. But when I met this young Canadian white guy, OK looking, older than me in his thirties who befriended me on a train travel from Amsterdam to Cologne, Germany. We liked each other, we kissed and had *** on the train, in the bathroom. We decided to travel together in Germany on train so that we can save money on Hotels, taxis and food. I don't drink alcohol but he does; every time when we visit bars or disco clubs, he offered alcoholic drinks which I refused even when he said, if he is paying for the drink. A day before our checkout, before going to sleep, he offered some kind of non-alcoholic sweet beverage which I drank not knowing that the drink was laced with some kind of sleeping ***. Next day when I woke up, I didn't see my traveling companion he disappeared. When I checked my wallet all my money was missing but my credit cards was intact. I went downstairs and asked the reception if he knows anything about my traveling companion, the reception informed me that my traveling companion checked out early in the morning and he told the hotel staff that I will be paying all the hotel bills. While checking out, I had to pay not only the room tariff but also his food and all the expensive alcohol drinks he had during his stay in the hotel. The food & drinks charges was more than double the hotel room charges around 1000 Deutsche Mark. Even In India, I was robbed & deceived by my traveling partner but in a different scenario: he was my sugar baby. This is another long story which I'll save it for another occasion. My word of advise is never trust a traveling companion who you met on internet or while traveling. Only trust the traveling companion who is your personal friend from your home town or a friend whom you know him for a long time.

No Picture Str8lover	Posted On Feb 3, 2026 Finally I posted something here in new year resolution and it has started fulfilling.. this year I want to travel a lot .. and if someone from community is alongside it really feels comfortable (not for *** but it gives comfort) so as I posted I received few Msgs that they’re also looking and from those many one guy really wanted to travel rigorously as he was bored of work from home, and me too, was bored of work from home, so we decided to go somewhere together and he had checked out few places out of which we decided Hampi and Gokarna earlier I thought to go by ourselves but later he said that various travel companies are offering Group travel plans for this destination, so should we go along with them and I was okay with that so we booked for Hampi and Gokarna and on this 30th of Jan we went for the trip with trekPanda. It was really very nice. That guy was into a more of a travelling. We did not spoke anything about community like nothing, literally nothing. We had a really good time with all the people from the group. We clicked pictures together, created memories and back today morning to the work. I never thought that I will find someone from Omojo for at least travelling, but there are genuine people over here and looking forward for more such friends from Omojo and many more trips for this year. As I’m from Pune there are lot of places for trekking nearby anyone into trekking lets connect
