In 2024, after leaving my office, I was walking through the grassy shortcut outside Platform No. 2 at Ghansoli railway station. I was dressed in formal clothes because it was my cousin's birthday, and I was carrying a gift bag.

I tried to run away and shouted for help. People outside could hear me, and some even looked inside the shed, but no one came to help. I was getting late for my cousin's birthday, so in the end I paid the money just so they would let me leave.
It was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. Those thugs harassed, assaulted, threatened, and extorted money from me before finally letting me go. |
