So here is my first ever experience in Saket Park. First of all, bhaii kitna mushkil tha ye spot dhundna. I read all the messages, kisi ne bhi exact info nhi diya all the location is incorrect, but come to the point, after so much of walking, I found the spot and started walking normally. It was pitch dark with multiple lanes, and few people were roaming around. 1 mature guy saw me entering tab se he was following me. I got the hint and asked him, Uncle Iska, exit kha se h hahaha. So here is my second experience in Saket Park, which I visited last Saturday. When I entered the park, there was less crowd after a few minutes, I saw a guy sitting on a bench with an office bag. I said "Hi," he replied, and we started talking while walking. I asked him what he liked about basic chit-chat, and We went to the area where the stone structure was located. He was very familiar with the whole park, and since I was new, he took me to all the corners to show me around. We had a little fun, but it was more than just fun with him; we were talking so much. I know you guys were expecting some adventure story, but it was a sweet moment. We held hands tightly and walked throughout the park to complete the circle. We didn’t ask any personal questions; we were just enjoying the moment. We also had so much fun at all the different spots in the park. I was getting so late that I told him I had to leave, and that guy was such a gentleman. He walked with me to the park gate, gave me a tight hug, said goodbye, and we both left. I also told him about this website, so I’m sure he will read this . We’ll meet again someday. So yes, it was a whole different kind of experience.

These are the Google Map coordinates (28.519409230327593, 77.19580503161815) to the "rock area" that many people have referred to in their posts. The place is called Burj Rokista, and it can be Googled by the same name. The Burj rests on massive boulders (rocks) and hence it is called the rock area.
Exit from Gate 2 at Saket Metro, and through metro parking get on to Westend Marg (see Google Maps). Stay on the right side of the road to get into the park from a pedestrian entry. It cannot be missed as many people pass through it.
The first part is a busy public park. Although some cruising happens here, the actual action happens in the forest area near the Burj. Walk on the trail towards the left, pass the first toilet block, and enter through the gate at the security booth. All this is on your left. From this gate starts the forest area.
There's a bench at the gate and two paths - one straight and the other on the right. Take the straight path to reach the Burj; for a long walk take the path on the right. One could use Google Maps as these paths are correctly marked. Most people hang around at the Burj / rock area, the path encircling it, and at the gate and the bench. When a partner is found, the action happens in the bushes.
I hope this description is helpful to all those wanting to go or struggling to find the exact location. |
