I've had a lot of great adventures in my life so far and been fortunate to see and explore many places. Very few of those adventures were shared with someone special at the time and I'm looking to change that going forward.

In the past 18 years, I've lived in SF, Montreal, DC (twice), London UK (twice) and now Chicago... this is probably the last stop, as I've just bought a place in the city and now it's time to set down some roots here.

I'm passionate about two things in my life: travel and airlines. Travelling is a major part of my life and every trip I take yields amazing benefits (and of course the dreaded credit card bill the following month -- but I also get the miles for everything I charge, too, so it's not entirely a bad thing). The airline industry has been my career for 10 years and I'll always have a fondness for some great times I've had at some memorable [bankrupt] airlines. I can also probably tell you ridiculous amounts of trivia for things airline-related.

It's probably no surprise that I'm also one of the biggest hoarders of airline and hotel frequent flyer points (see previous paragraph). I'm loyal to a select few companies, but don't hold that against me if you're loyal to different ones.

I was one of those kids who always read the atlas and was fascinated by the big world out there and was determined to go out and explore it. And I have. And I keep doing it. And I want a spouse to come explore it with me. I`m a down-to-earth person who doesn`t get caught up in superficial things... don`t have time for that and really just don`t understand shallowness. I`m not perfect and don`t expect you to be either.

I've made a lot of great friends all over the world over the years and have kept in touch with many, and am thankful for what they've taught me and for being in my life -- even if I only see them every few years or keep up with them now only on Facebook or via email.

Another website asked me about my past relationships and this is how I answered...I thought it might be of interest here. "Each relationship I've had has taught me something, but this really isn't the place to discuss them in detail. I have no regrets with any of those relationships because at the time, I was happy and enjoyed the person I was with."

When asked what kind of guy I'm looking for... here's how I'd reply: I'll let you know if I like you...but if you are under 40, cute, have dark hair, average or better shape, intelligent, not afraid to travel or explore this world, nice and not full of yourself, and live in the metro Chicago area (sorry to all those guys out of state that keep "winking" on here), that's a good start. I actually prefer cute guys rather than gorgeous or perfect bodies. I've been given a lot of good qualities and traits on the inside, so I'd rather attract good guys with those than with a body that's either plastic, fake or just too pretty. If you've got your act together, have some confidence and are cute, you should be able to catch my eye.

Another website says I am a Builder/Explorer: "You are popular, trustworthy and dependable. People like you for many reasons; but among them you tend to be stable, loyal and caring and you have a wonderful knack for common sense. You are a guardian. Your relationships with friends, kin and colleagues are important to you. So you spend time and energy developing and defending these social networks. You are a good executive and manager. You are detail oriented. And you tend to respect traditions. So you bring strength and stability to your social and business environments." This is a pretty accurate way to describe me.
