Just an observation: I think most people would like to be truly loved by another; but when self-gratification is the only impetus for finding that 'one', how can that result in real love which is by definition, selfless? Relationships, including marriage, which are sought merely to satisfy one's own needs is incredibly common and always obvious to the discerning - even if it's camouflaged. I do believe that a relationship based on love as defined by Scripture would satisfy beyond expectation the needs and desires of both without either having to focus on their own
