Imagine a gay man in 1948 from NYC. That's kind of a decent description of the soul that I am. I don't leave the house without dressing properly (and that means the suit). I don't 'make up' plans as I go along. An evening to me should be planned at least the day before, begin around 7 and be done by 11:30, with dinner and some form of entertainment filling the time in between. I use a telephone, I do not text OR 'text speak', and I can still write a whole letter in cursive. Yes, I am old fashioned, which does not mean 'prude'. It just means that I've decided to maintain a certain level of sophistication and intellect that most today do not. I'm looking for someone who is on the same wavelength.

I am, by all accounts and measures...'average'. The only thing about me that is NOT 'average' is my ability to recognize and acknowledge the fact that I AM 'average'. Something most of you need to look in the mirror and acknowledge yourself. If you're in Pittsburgh, there aren't that many 'spectaculars' out there. Look in your own mirror and own it! Then maybe once you get over your superiority complex, you'll humble yourself to meet someone you might actually like as a person.

I'm a very hairy and average guy who is into other very hairy guys. I am a top, looking for an otter type bottom. I'm into jazz, big band and swing music, a bit of Broadway, intelligent films, definitely into the arts and especially live theater. I am 150% NOT into the gay 'scene'. I don't do clubs, or hyper-trends, and don't watch 'queer-as' anything. I just live a regular life, and tend to have regular folk as friends.

I would really love to meet a sincerely down-to-earth, average, dark featured, skinny and furry guy who would be very happy cuddling all night, spending evenings in front of good DVDs, swigging coffee...and kissing until our lips are sore! My ideal intellectual type would be the slightly dishevelled intelligent yet unpretentious, even somewhat nerdy/geeky writer type, with a flair for social commentary, who would love to share coffee and a pack of Marlboro over cheese fries at the local diner.
