Hide & Seek game
Well.. It's not the coventional game of hide & seek which we all would have played since childhood. This is the game "show me your pic ".. " Come in vchat" .. And those "Hard to find a face" in a pic games played by guys on online dating apps. I have had a plenty of annoying / sometimes funny / sometimes offensive / even extremely irritating ones.
Just share your experiences if you faced the same

Fine let me start with one experience in each genre.
I AM THE SMART *** GENRE - These guys are the most pseudo intellects of the lot. When asking for a pic or asking for a video chat, either they send out a stamp sized pic with a hard to find face even with a 10 x zoom or a pic with side pose (read it as impossible random angle pose) with sunglasses and caps and every other accessories covering the visibility of the pic. Video chat intellects are more funny. Their side cam will show nothing but a dark host (they never bother to show their face in light) or the camera angle never raises beyond their neck.

FUNNY GENRE : I have had this quite a few times in different apps. People sharing fake pics. From lesser known celebrities to other state heroes, to random pics some guys are smart enough to share others's pic as their own. Either I have got my friends's pic or in many cases my own pictures. It was indeed funny when a few guys used my own face pic in their profile and have texted me.
I am not sure if these guys really understand what an online dating is or they mistake it for "blind dating" 😂😂😂 |

ANNOYING/ IRRITATING Genre : This happens every now and then. I am gonna share something happened recently from this site. A guy texts me saying he was interested in me and I asked him for his pic. As usual the excuse comes as "do you use hangouts" Or "can I email you". Atlast I had to tutor him how to share a pic in Ohmojo with the private picture option. Atlast when I key in the password all I get to see was a torso with a white vest. Now I text him back "Thanks dude for sharing a white vest as I had never seen before". Now immediately he gets offended and text me expletives. I am not sure if these sort of guys really think I also get equally offended when they send something like this 🤔🤔
Evenmore annoying in those group of guys who will be very cautious in not letting out their whatsapp/email/phone number but they expect others to share their pics in anyone these. IF YOUR IDENTITY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU HOW DO YOU TAKE MY IDENTITY FOR GRANTED?? This annoys or irritates me the most.
GUYS HOW MUCH EVER TRICKS WE PLAY ONLINE WHEN WE MEET IN PERSON NONE OF THESE TRICKS ARE GONNA WORK, THEN WHY BOTHER WITH THESE? GET A GRIP. IT'S ONLINE DATING AND NOT BLIND DATING. ALSO TAKE REJECTIONS LIGHT. NOT EVERYONE IS LIKED BY EVERY OTHER PERSON. RESPECT INDIVIDUAL CHOICE. |

@sanyo - For the record, I have been in any of the first three genres whom I have approached online. Like I have said in any threads, I use online apps and never dared for public cruising (again it's my personal choice). So if I like a profile I dare to share my original recent picture. Hope that answers I am not in any of the three categories.
I believe you should read fully before concluding your perspective about me. I said I won't bite. 😝
I agree perspectives may be different but atleast i can vouch I haven't used someone's else pictures or stampsized or held my camera only until my neck.. 😂😂😂 |
