The problem is people have lot of misconceptions.
mistaking STDs with appearances and social status.
They think guys who are clean dress well,speak English are likely to be STD free.
There are a lot of polished English speaking rich HIV positive people!
Guys esp top guys saying thing like I am very decent da.
You don't trust me?- they want bottoms to *** without condoms.
Do you really want to trust someone with your life??
Being nice and decent has nothing to with STDs.
Most irritating thing is ignorance. Hardly anyone gets tested- although it's free.

Prep will protect you only against HIV. Not against other STDs.
Just wanted to share some information about HIV and its control. It is important to get yourself tested so that if you do turn out to be positive, you can start ART- Therapy sooner and control your disease. This will also prevent you from spreading the diease to others, including your spouse.
Nowadays, you have very good drugs available and you can reach a low viral state. A low viral test (viral load < 40 copies/ml) is a safe result to have and it is achievable with starting medication.
If you reach this state, then you can even have *** without a condom and still not spread the diease to your partner. But I would advise against not using protection. Use condom always. It will protect you against other STDs.

Guys, be careful with sexual encounters... I was tested positive for syphilis in Oct 21...
Fortunately/unfortunately, i was in my hometown where penicillin was not administered. However doc has given antibiotics.
I travelled to BLR in the next month, got myself checked/tests repeated at Manipal hospital but they were negative.
I was suggested by the doc to also test at another hospital as I am still in doubt. Everytime VDRL and TPHA came negative.
I've stopped meeting guys, I've not had *** since then.
I'm testing myself every month till date, it's coming negative but only in one hospital it's coming positive everytime.
It's a mental torture what I'm going through... Practise safe, i really doubt if i can overcome this .... |

Its good that you came to know ur Syphillis status, your doctor will recommend Penicillin injection 1 dose on ur trunk area. that should resolve, else they may suggest Doxycycline-100 mg twice daily for may be 15 days.
Taking medication is important and no need to worry. Just avoid *** for next 3 months and get tested again. |

Get tested for Syphillis,..i.e. VDRL test immediately. If positive you may have to take Penicillin injection. VDRL is treatable so don't worry much and avoid *** for atleast 1month after treatment. What was the VDRL result as it come within same day |
