Though I am not a cruising type, I have heard and read many cruising stories from others. So what's your choice CYBER HOOKUP OR CRUISING? And why?

Whether it is crusing or online hook up both comes with its own risk. Apparently i feel online hook up is better since we can chat over the phone meet at a public place and see how it goes |

Cruising anyday....that has little more spice to it...got to accept that it can put u into trouble much more than online hookup...but for everything as long as we stay with in acceptable limit and exercise caution..it is better... |

The golden days of cruising are long over with yahoo chat rooms and guys4men which is now PR. Grindr takes the cake which allows you to hook up with someone close. A visit to a gay bathhouse is all about cruising in the safe confines of the spa. For people who have experienced it, it’s super fun especially if the spa is crowded. However the stories you refer to are probably chance encounters people have in bus, train, taxi it’s more about being lucky and less about cruising. In Delhi we had earmarked cruising spaces which were essentially parks so it was kinda fun to check people out while strolling. Online hook up offers faster options but the thrill is slightly lesser. Am not sure if it happens to others too but it looks like people who hookup on Grindr are always looking for Mr Perfect so we keep rejecting people and the ones whom we like end up rejecting us so net net the hit rate is lower than if we had cruising options.

outdoors cruising is the preferred way to hook up for me. I have had my share of fun under the sun. I was in Boston in 2002-2004 and again in 2007. There used to be a cruising place called "the reeds" near fenway gardens. Basically a small stream with elephant grass on either side and walkways between. There were community gardens on one side. The action that used to happen there was amazing. Anytime of the day. Best times were of course late night after the local bars used to shut shop. There used to be a lot of group fun. I used to be scared to indulge as it seemed unsafe from a disease point of view. But I met a few decent guys for some light fun.
In bangalore, there is a lake called "Agara lake" near HSR layout. This was close to my workplace and I used to keep a cycle at the office just so that I could ride to the lake side during the afternoons and sometimes evenings. You would almost always hook up with someone. There was a lot of tree cover and bushes. Unfortunately the local residents were fed up of the "nusiance"created and decided to develop the lake. All the trees were trimmed and cleared and strict security placed. That ended the fun. But it was great while it lasted. |

Nice to read your comments on this guys.. But for a guy like me who has zero skills in cruising and a straight mode in public, i prefer cyber hook ups than cruising. ;)
I accept we all search for Mr. Perfect in such sites. But not always, the perfect guys are perfect in all senses. Of course baring a few exceptions i have met nice guys online. May be it was the age (since i created my profile in my mid twenties) which got me guys, but all this could change when the age and looks wither ;)
On a *** day, don't we just hook up with the easiest accessible guy online ???.. if he has place to host and quite nearby, don't we just hook up ? I would be brutally honest, I have had such hook ups on *** days.. somehow i feel cyber hookups are better than cruising.. Of course the thrill factor is missing.. but more than cheap thrills i prefer to play safe ;) |

100% agree with exotic...Its almost over... The pleasure and fun with those yahoo chats. and guys4men..and the public cruising.. The Bus Stand loos.. the nearby parks..though risk factor was there.. even now i prefer cruising.. but hardly get any.. and for the younger generation..its all dating apps..they just can not imagine how the gay world is pre-internet and pre-mobile era..We have to move with the time.. But if u look back.. u really feel that. you have lost so many wonderful things to make way for new ones...
Those Sunday evenings at Maheshwari Garden.. King Circle, Sion, Mumbai.. were like gay festivals....2-3 hours.. walking round and round the garden.. to chose the guy u liked the most.. one round.. two rounds.. three rounds.. oh.. some guys with gangs...some guys alone.. the recommendations... really amazing |

Cruising is something that I would never ever do. Because it has lots of problems. I have seen people getting beaten up in lots of places. A friend of mine who is a Top. I have had *** with him many times. Even he does not like it. In fact he himself slapped guy for placing his hands on my friend's crotch in a local train. Gosh I was with him..... I asked me u r so addicted to blow jobs why u slapped that guy. He told me that it doesn't mean that somebody can molest me on local train. What if the guy behaves the same way when im with my family .. Just because im doing it does not mean that im available for anybody who is in train bus sleeper bus. Nobody should grope me without my consent.
Online apps do have it's own cons. Cruising is not my thing. Unless im in SR Lodge or Pooram or Coutrallam gay meet.

Both are good. Cruising adds little spicy. The instant flame of having *** while cruising is the best. But it goes well or down depends on the interest match. While meeting online, you can discuss the preferences and meet. So disappointments are lower. |
